Why is it when you watch vids on youtube you always wish your own car sounded as good. all of my s2's ive had seem to lack that high pitched 5 pot wurble. Ive had stock exhausts, scorpions,3" turbo backs and now my current is a 2.75" milltek turbo back.
when cold it sounds nive, but when warmed up just sounds like a 4pot drone.
maybe on the outside it sounds a lot different???
anyone else feel the same? When you listen to this engine from prosty you may know what i mean

Mine sounds great atm

Shame its because the Y pipe has a huge hole in one side

always sounds better from outside removing the cats makes a massive difference, mine now sounds like i have always wanted it to considering there are no massiver power upgrades or football sized turbos on board

went off to find that exact video to say this is the only exception to inside sound.....great great sound and it sqwats nicely too

Strip it out - it'll sound great then!

There's a big wedge of sound deadening under the boot floor - remove this alone and it sounds better.

I also thought my Avant did not sound like a real 5-pot from the inside. However the videos we made some while back convinced me from the outside it does sound like a good 5-pot

I don't hear it like a 4pot mate... btw do you have a tubular and equal lenght exh mani??? It changes a bit the sound, and under my point of view, a much better sound!

Aye 7A and NM cams especially give a different sound to the stock cams

I love the sound of my exhaust, deep, no boom and not too loud IMO

Yes yours sounds pretty dam good, we should have ran both yours and mine at the same time

agree the cams do change the sound to a more burbly one.

everyone says i want the sound of that loud shreek.

theres a post recent days where the discussion is how to get rid of that sound.

big turbos sucking lots of air bring it too
i love it in mine. its maybe louder than the average 3" system but its not an everyday car

The shriek is alright when on boost but with the 3076r it happens on vacuum as well, you get some funny looks driving in a town centre

i love my 3" decatted turbo back.....the only thing that i would think about is at certain speeds and revs it can be quite boomy...but hey i just turn the stereo up!!!.....and has been mentioned...you get a different sound inside the car compared to outside....
