For a giggle, I will remove mine to see what gives. Never tried having it off before

If I let the clutch up too early there are just too many revs for a smooth change. Before anybody asks, yes I do take my foot off the gas !
I'm just talking normal driving as well - not 6k plus or anything or rapid shifting.
It's not so bad in the higher gears but it's very obvious betwen 1st and 2nd. Maybe there is a bigger gap between these two than the others but are they all like this - is there anything that could cause the revs to fall so lazily, any simple mods to help.
It's a stock engine but has been chipped (not homefy) - could that affect it.
What kind of exhaust do you have? When I upgraded to 3" turbo back it was really noticeable (and annoying) that the revs took longer to drop off. I backed off the TD adjustment all the way and it improved a lot but i had to alter my driving style a little to make gear changes smooth. Then I got a bigger turbo and I reckon it's now slightly better.

It's just a standard exhaust system.
I think you're right about changing driving style, we have a couple of other cars that we use and the difference is quite noticable in the S2 after driving the others - but only really when changing up from 1st to 2nd. You just have to make the change quite slowly if you want to be smooth ... and I would much rather be smooth than a jerk
I'll try and check out the previous suggestions - cheers guys, and see if I can make any difference.
