It would be very interesting to try to do high compression engined "WRC type " version with e85 alco fuel and with "moderate boost". 10.3 CR should be worth testing ! Pistons and ex valves need to be decent to handle the inreased burning load.
I had raised compression in mind before I found out that my block was broken. only 0.7 raise from true 8.8-8.9, so 9,5 compression. Plan was to use moderate boost, and if need for more power water/meth injection to cool things down
over 10 compression might be doable, E85 is unfortunately quite hard to come be in my (and tommys) country, only 7 stations in whole country sell it

to my knowledge paul only the 16v with the PL code doesn't have the sodiums.
the t04E 50 is an oldy but a goody. personally i think the cost on an I5 would push me to a more costly turbo. for the 16v thats ba great bang for buck unit.
