no spark or injector pulse! Any ideas please throw them in.

yeh injectors are seeing the 12v supply ( typing non too accurate lol)

even when cranking theres no pulse.

very interesting about the non live feed at crank sensors cheers for that!

I still think its a huge co-incidence its only happened since ive had the head off, will do a continuity test on the wiring from the ECU tomorow.

Don't break it it will be something simple... it always is, produce a list of possible causes and work your way down it. Works for me every time..

And what was it? Engine speed sensor connected on the crankshaft positioning sensor?

everything was connected that i disconected when i took the head off (5 injector wires, hall sensor plug and earths from inlet manifold)

basicaly i wired in the URs4 diagnostic plugs and cleared the fault codes, still nothing, primed the fuel pump and pulsed the injector while checking various things with an oscilioscope and every sensor was pulsing fine except referance sensor, took it out and checked by cranking and putting screwdrived close to it and it worked fine, put it back in and cranked it, injectors sprayed fuel all over me so i bolted the plugs and coils in and fuel rail, thing fired straight up, weird!

i turned it off and went home, will try a few things tomorow as i cant be stranded anywhere, daily driver lol

if i get any problems i will let y`all know.

since the loom is apart i will be wiring in my HKS EGT, water temp, fuel/oil pressure gauges and managment/ oil pressure warning light on the A4 dash, yaaaay no more christmas tree while driving lol :corey: :lazy c u n t smilie:

oh and to say thankyou to the car for being a good sport letting me down i will be smashing its pasty off all day sunday at north weald dragway, at a VW show
