I have been trough that code (at least I deeply hope it's over!) plus the lambda 00537 Maximum control limit exceeded....
Unfortunately they were not just iirelevant codes but the car had the following problems:
Erratic idle (particurarly with AC on) sometimes stall on approching i.e. traffic lights high (very) consumption boost pikes on full load.... but not always.... a general feeling of "no good running" that it's personally the most annoying thing.

I just follow the pattern supply by S2 Central.net, Mr Paul Nugent and diligently I went trough a major revampt of all PCV pipes and vacuum tree.
New valve on PCV new hoses new clamps new carbon canister valve, cleaning thorougly the trottle body etc etc....
On the process regarding the PCV system I found my flame trap (Part N 034 103 211P) in such a bad condition that it defenetely make believe the all system was blocked.

Now the codes are away (again touching wood) and the car runs like it was running probably back in the 90s.

I do IMHO believ that all in this codes especially when they are been spitted together are related (If lambda and MAF are in order) on the vacuum tree and on PCV system.
Vacuum tree it's intended to control many important issues:
You can have a little boost leak...
You can have unmetered air going in...
You can have your DV not holding boost.... or not opening properly..
You can have your fuel pressure not in the right range....
You can have your ECU not reading the correct or no boost....
All due to those little hosse and clamps!

PCV on the other side can give you plenty of umetered air going into your motor if it's not working properly or if blocked can open everything to a nightmare scenario...

In car like ours with 15 or more years of running in so many setups I can deeply suggest to close your eyes and go trough this revampt.
it can be a nasty job.... especially at 10.30 in the evening when you pull sligtlhy the little hose that goes into the green line to the ECU.... and nicely it snaps out in your and..... leaving you to try to trace the greeen line that it's somewhere (worst hide and seek of my life!) aorund and under a bunch of different spaghettis!!!!

    P.S.
The reading of this forum in all threads regarding PCV and vacuum tree and DV etc etc.
Plus the unique writing and schematics supplyied by Paul Nugent about..... well about almost everything!
All that it's been so useful that I believe I don' owe just a pint to Paul but a complete and properly oraganized (with all the schematics in place, from wine to coffee and coffe killer) Italian dinner!
Thanks Paul and all the experts in here!
