Removing timing belt cover + timing light

    Hi,

I can't remember from when I did the timing belt, but is it possible to remove the timing belt cover without removing the intercooler?

I need to use my timing light gun, but I can't really see anything on the bell house. So I thought I would use the marks on the cam instead.

Of course if anybody has a good idea to how I can get better view on the bell house, that would be nice?

Not that easy to do if you ask me :-). Or at least not with the engine in the car

You can use the mark on the front pulley but you'd need to mark your own mark for the TDC as the dot on the lower cambelt cover isn't accurate
