    Aux Rad Removal

Im sure i remember reading somewhere that ppl have used a diff bottom hose when removing the aux rad so that they can keep the original (expensive looking) hose that feeds it.

Im assuming Ben and Martyn would be the guru's who could supply a cost for such a hose as i like to keep things so they can be undone

    Cheers guys.

    You'll be wanting an 893 121 055 B which retails at £19.85+VAT.

Although I've just got bungs in mine at the minute. I'll be changing the bottom hose when I finally get my **** in gear and sort out an alloy rad.

What hose do people use at the top with the bung in? I want to keep the original pipe as a backout insurance ala S2 Ant.

Jamo, dont worry, there are plenty on the Forum who have run without the aux rad (inc me) for a long time ( including last years heat wave ). Go to your local plumber and buy two "22mm" brass/copper bungs - the ones with a solder collar. Access to the two lower bolts on the rad is awkward - but once its off..........car runs cooler. See the other threads. HTH James

            Thanks

I was going to buy a 1" dump valve bung and i've order the above said pipe to replace the original one.

What pipe did you use on the top radiator outlet?

@S2avant: Are you talking about the T-shaped (ish...) bottom hose? I paid about £60 for that at a stealer and then didn't need it after all! And of course they wouldn't take it back either!

(Sorry for jumping in on this thread..)

Jamo - use a scrap piece of hose or some silicon hose for the top part.

Cheers Doug, Aux Rad is going bye bye it looks in a worse state than Jordan on a bender in brighton.

Yep, that's the one. The 7A version doesn't have the tee in it. It's just a straight(ish) bit of pipe.
