Forget performance, what is more important is, do these aftermarket jobbies make a nice 'Woosh' sound on throttle lift off?

noise without performance - that's easy, just rip a tear in a hose

Just my tuppence worth, but I could not live with a DV that 'whoosed' on every gear change, however..... the Forge valve will make that noise on high rev gear changes, especially after you've been home fried! Must admit, it's kinda nice to hear her dumping when gunning her along, but not all the time...

I can get the forge to "chatter" some time - probably needs a stronger spring?

And it's hard to hear in my car because of the intake noise and exhasut note.

My ex's Golf 1.8T chatters slightly and that is totally standard.

i always thought the chatter was from the wastegate not the diverter valve??

I can make mine chatter, but I would like the MAX Power style ' Toooooooooooooosh'. But as Martyn says it would get annoying after EVERY gear change.
