    My car needs doctoring soon

Last night i has a race with a 20VT leon cupra R, and up to a tonne he was leaving me , surely this cannot be right . As soon as he got away i was thinking thats it, time for a remap, new turbo and intercooler and maybe an RS2 manifold . An S2 should beat a Cupra 20VT shouldnt it . True he might have been spiced up a little, but i want to pound cars like them.

Same engine as in the S3 isn't it? around 210bhp. Thing is, the Seat's are made of paper mache and are way lighter than the S2. Wonder what condition it will be in, in 10 years time, probably at the bottom of a pile of cars in the local scrappy :mischeif:
Time maybe to see Graham (Teckno) and get her chipped.

Sounds good to me, she needs an injection of new life. Dont know how much abuse this turbo and manifold will take, turbo is old, but when i get my new one........

          hi there,
i hear yer and totally understand however....
last week i was happily going some with a 3.0 quattro convertable, no dramas (about 80), i put him behind me, it was a little traffiky so was a civilised affair, but then a silver 3litre supra turbo came from nowhere and wanted some action - was kicking it with him for a while neck and neck, until he weaved into the slow lane to undertake everything - it was then he decided to leave me doing around 110 easy, i didnt shed a tear cos seconds later i passed him after he went straight into the back of a 4x4 (which looked ok), his looked like a smokin banana. It was then the 3.0 quattro passed me slowly by, we just looked at each other as if we both seen the angel o death itself.

The moral of the story........get some f kin brakes.....

          live long and prosper.........

Saying that Tom got done big time by a golf 1.8T which is about the same thing as the cupra. It was certainly well tuned, but doug managed to finish him off.

Dont remind me, luckily with the heat we have had lately i have had the interior air on cold but when i put it on hot i still get the dredded rabbit smell , its faint but definitelly still there. I think the turbo is noisy even though the turbo had hardly any play in it when i changed the hoses. I thing initially a remap might help, then seek advise on where to go next on upgrades.
But back on subject-- my first real whooping by something inferior if i had a longer road i am sure i would beat him top end wouldnt i????

I will, a few of my mates have been creeping closer to my current performance levels, with little tweeks and the likes to their cars, ultimately i still leave them standing but the speed at which i leave them standing is getting higher so they are getting closer to me- Homefry time me thinks

gotta be something wrong here hasn't there. A cupra???? My brother has an S3 which is quick but nowhere the S2 in performance. A stock S2 should win that comfortably - unless yours isn't quite on song - or his was!! Having said that - I got whooped by a 1.6 fiesta - but had serious boost leaks at the time. All fixed now - and yesterday powered past an M5 on M62 who was trying but couldn't live with it. I've got the homefry - it certainly helps!
