I tested my car on a dyno with different boost pressures, from 0.75 to 1.8bar, and the wastegate/WG pipe was hottest at the lowest pressure and not the highest. So much more exhaust had to pass the WG @ 0,75bar then @ 1.8bar. So high boost doesn't equal the need for a large WG in my case.
