Hybrid turbo is a bit of a Max Powerism, what are you actually after? There are turbos of all sizes that you can use to get a desired power or driving characteristic, it's what else you need to do at the same time that's the fun part...

There are a few turbos that are sized between S2 and RS2, these are usually referred to as small hybrids. Richard's uses a more modern, lighter comp wheel and so is supposed to spool faster. Different comp map also means you can run a tad more boost. MTM, Turbo Dynamics and AET all offer options but few other than MTM are tried and tested.

yes 330bhp is out of thin air, I am expecting 305 reliable and 315/320bhp maxed.

I cant see the point of changing the standard turbo for one that only makes 15-20 HP more .

I think it'd be good if you have a tired k24 and not thousands to throw at a car? Think the spool is different too

You have still got to map the the thing and to me that's a waste of money for 20 HP, for me the minimum upgrade would be +100 to make it worth wile doing .

No, actually I am quite interested in whether this combination actually has an advantage.

True, once my S6 is running right i want to pay him a visit for a K26/27 upgrade, but untill it'll at least run ok in standard form i have to wait

I had one from turbo dynamics (through dynathingy) Never actually knew what was different but the car may have only been a wee bit more powerful but im sure it was more powerful much much sooner than standard. In simple terms..
