Cone vs airbox, howto take air away from turbo?

I'am considering buying a green twister cone filter (like K&N and the other filters) however if put it where the airbox is, that is not very optimal since it will be sucking in warm air.

Anybody that have tried to move it down or something so it can get air further away from the turbo?

Dahlback make a bit of pipe work so the air filter faces the direction of incoming air & also has a built in heatshield on it.

I am looking at getting a similar bit made up by a local fabrication firm for my car.
