Thanks, I really appreciate your help!
I've had another root around and I discovered the pink line but I've yet to trace the green line.
Does anybody have an photos available or would anyone be able to describe what the parts look like that I should be plugging vacuum hoses in to?
I've no idea what the FPR looks like and I can't find the hose that leads to the ECU.Comment

Hmmmm, I just found a green connector situated on the rear of the IM, but it's to the left hand side and quite low down compared to the other 3 outlets.
This connector has a black vacuum hose attached to it that joins what I'd describe as a dark green hose which runs to the Carbon Canister. There is another dark Green hose which then runs from the Carbon Canister back towards the IM but then dissapears through the bulkhead.
Is this the line that runs to the ECU?
If it is, I'm finally making progress as I now know where the pink hose is & I know the DV should be connected to the IM.Comment

The only hose that goes into the bulkhead by the battery box is a braided hose so I have been assuming that this is the incorrect hose as there's no colour to distinguish it.
Have I been wrong to rule this hose out?Comment

The hose starts off as a braided hose then connects to the plastic green hose, I think it is the one you are looking at, if you pull it a bit you may see it connecting. It eventually goes back into braided hose under the glove box before it connects to the ecu.
I have just uploaded this, its a translated version of the vacuum tree for the 3B engine. http://www.s2forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=490881991 Audi S2 CoupeComment

Thanks Montez!
I did have a good look with the torch and it appears to be the same kind of hose as the pink hose once the braided part of the hose stops but due to dirt I can't quite tell the colour. I think this is the hose to the ECU.
In your translated vacuum tree, I'm assuming the Throttle Bypass Valve is the Diverter Valve?
Also, does having Aircon make a difference?Comment

Excellent, I think I have all I need now. Thank you so much for your help.
The only downside is that prior to swapping all of the vacuum hoses over, I will need to source some (3mm?) vacuum hose for the IM to DV as I suspect that the hose has been cut down in size and popped on the Wastegate.
I don't suppose you know of a company that I could buy it over the counter from?Comment

Hi Rob, the nipple I was talking about was the small one on the DV. It seems like you're on the right track anyway. I think the braided hose stuff comes in 3m lengths for a few quid. The small nipples on the back of the IM are interchangeable. The green pipe is often difficult to see, hidden as it is in the loom behind the battery box. FPR is under the IM near the Dizzy. On the 3B the braided hose from the back of the IM runs along the boost tube through a couple of metal loops before diving down near the headlight to the DV. The slightly bigger nipple underneath IM near the throttle body just connects to the PCV system and the carbon can valve.
If you want to cruise down here at some point we can make sure its all hooked up correctly.Comment

i think thats all covered now good luck.
you can also use 3mm or what some prefer - 4mm silicone hose, available from ebay. Go for branded stuff like samco, sfs, roose, autobahn88 etc and not the Chinese cheap stuff as that can fail.
Good luck!91 S2 coupé - RIP
