    Cheers guys.

So er, what on earth does the FPR look like and is it hidden beneath the dizzy or infront of it?

I decided to try and use a bit of common sense so I followed the two metal braided fuel lines and saw that one was connected to a part just infront of the Dizzy. I had a feel around the bottom of this part (with great difficulty!) and there was a nipple there without a hose.

I'm assuming this part was indeed the FPR? I'm guessing it would make sense due to the fuel line plugged into the top of it. Can anyone confirm this for me?

If this is correct, I'm all set to go!

I think you found it already but for others who haven't found there their 3B Fuel Pressure Regulator, this diagram *might* help:

Yep, that's the one. Thank you.

So, I managed to connect everything up the correct way around (thanks to all of you guys) and took the car out for a spin. There was a slight ijmprovement but it was running like a pig once on boost. I pulled over and popped the bonnet only to see an oily residue on the black metal pipe that runs alongside the IM and joinsa metal elbow.

I've fitted this correctly and pretty tightly which means that I'm now getting boost! . The only downside is that I don't think it's full boost as there is not the huge surge of torque that I'm used to. I'm assuming this could be down to a number of things such as boost leaks or a dodgy WGFV?

When Newsh is free I plan to pay him a visit so hopefully we can get to the bottom of this.

...atleast I can drive the car over 2500 rpm now!

So neither the DV or the FPR were connected! Did you find the hoses to connect to them or were they completely missing?

Seems like you still have a boost leak though.. Compressor and test kit await your visit

Oily residue almost certainly means a leak, maybe you have a split in the michelin man hose? When the car is on boost, have you got a louder than normal whooshing or hissing noise?

WTF where they doing when they decided not to connect half the things in the engine bay, have you gone back to see them yet? I would ask for your money back as they have seriously ****ed up here!

Good job Rob, your almost there by the sounds of things..

Thanks Bo but I owe it all to you guy, I'd be well stuck otherwise!

I'll be paying them a visit to let them k or of my displeasure, you can guarantee that!

Newsh, yes neither the FPR or DV were connecting to anything. The ECU was connecting to the IM twice too...

I can't hear as much hissing as I used to so perhaps it may be the WGFV plumbed in incorrectly? Can anyone tell me how I can determine if the valve is the correct way around and how it should be connected?

I'll get there in the end!

Re WGFV, make sure its plugged in for a start

Hissing, not a good thing, usually means a leak, unless you have a cone filter and you're getting a lot of induction noise. I can't remember if you're on a stock or ABY airbox..

My WGFV is mounted remotely but you can see which way round it is from the pic below.
LH goes to the WG, RH goes to the MAF hose and the one underneath goes to the face of the turbo.

Thanks for that. I'll have a peak in the morning but I suspect they've cocked that up too.

It's got an RS2 airbox by the way.

Between preparing Christmas dinner and last minute food shopping I had a chance to look at the WGFV.

Shockingly it was fitted correctly but the hose to the WG was fitted loosely so I tightened it up and took the car for a drive. It's driving a little better but I think there's still a leak elsewhere.

I'm sure once we pressure test it that we'll find the cause.
