Anybody in Spain with a spare AAN ECU?

I am trying to help somebody with a 92 S4 avant in Spain who had his ECU get wet from water backing up because of a plugged cowl (scuttle) drain. He says the ECU was repaired but now the car is not starting. I am sceptical that the ECU was properly repaired and was wondering whether any one in Spain had a spare AAN ECU that he could try.

May not be in any way helpful, but I think I remember s2central offering a service to someone whereby he could give the ecu a health check if they sent it to him.

Thanks Shane. I will contact S2central as well as pursue the possibility of Jade lending his spare ECU to the fellow to try.

I am still alive... if the car got waterlogged there may be issues beyond the ECU... worth checking it in an otherwise healthy car.

Where is this guy located? If he lives in Barcelona, or not far from it, I know quite a lot of people that could help.
                    Cheers.

He is near City of Denia, Alicante provence. I have no idea how close that is driving time-wise to Barcelona. So far I have tracked down a UrS6 ECU but it is an immobilizer and therefore won't work on the 92 S4 in question. If you can provide a connect to a non-immobilizer ECU, PM me and I will get you together with the owner in Denia. (And thanks for the offer).

Mmm... Denia is at 6 hour drive, more or less, from Barcelona, quite far away, which makes things difficult. If he lived nearby, a good friend of mine owns a 100 S4 and I don't think it would be a problem to swap ECUs to test, but living that far makes things impossible, as my friend uses his car quite a lot.
I would let you know if there would be any other option for help.
                        Cheers.

Thanks for the reply. I am in contact with the fellow in Denia. Do you know of anywhere in Spain where they can properly repair and test a Motronic ECU that was water damaged?
