    Issues with KMS idle valve

    Hello,

I upgraded to KMS ECU and I have issues with Idle valve. It seems that if you want to get it right you should use KMS idle vavle as well, because orginal bosch valve has bigger resistance and it fry ECU controler.

I tried to get such valve but our locad dealer has none, also it's really hard to get one from KMS....

Any way the question is do you know a equivalent valve which I can use? I'm nt sure but I think that KMS basically used Pierburg valve but of course the part number is deleted since they sell it for KMS part

If the IAC valve is controlled by a voltage level, you could just stick an opamp between the ECU and the IAC valve in a voltage follower configuration.
That way you would not load the ECU excessively, and it would not fry the controller.

If it fries the controller it probably has smaller resistance, not bigger.
An opamp's input impedance is very large (so it does not load the voltage source) and the output impedance is very small. In a voltage follower configuration it will allow you to decouple the IAC valve from the ECU and use the opamp's power supply to drive it.

        No, I mean an opamp.
No offence, but if you don't know what that is, maybe it is better that you buy the KMS valve.

Try hulsenturbotuning.nl if you need the KMS idle valve. I will try to find out what the original KMS part is from.
