..didn't drive it to extreme, boosted maybe 5 or 6 times. Know its chipped, how many mpg is normal ?

My other car is an Audi 2.0tdi A4 so mpg isn't an issue for everyday car!

1/4 is about £15 so for £10 I'm lucky to get 30mile so its about right if you ask me. Just think of the price of fuel and how much you get for your money now.........not much.

The guage might not be correct either; I get about 50 miles for the first 1/4 of my tank, about 75 miles per 1/4 for the next 2 and then about 30 till the light comes on.

Only way to get a good estimate is to brim it, drive 1/4 tank and see how much fuel it's really used. On my 3B i got about 10-20 miles for the first 1/4 but commonly 300-350 miles per tank. And about 300hp. Oh I miss that car...

so Ross, you get about 230ish with the almost full tank? Is that with the RS2?

im trying to get the mixed circle kind of run, ie in the city with a few motorway kind of driving miles up to about 60miles for the first 1/4 tank. Having said that i do aggree that it is very difficult to judge from the gauge, and you have to actually judge from the amount of miles registered when you put some more fuel in.

im in the process of trying to find the best solution for economy and cruise driving and so the last time i had to add about 15l of fuel i had done about 54miles of city driving. That was with a mixture of settings though and most of the time the car had to get warm from a near to freezing temp, and believe me that takes a lot of fuel!

I've come to the conclusion with mine, ABY Avant with Nothelle spec, that for every 10 litres, I get roughly 40 miles. During colder months it drops a little, and when driven gently or on long runs it can surpass 50 miles, but usually averages about 40 miles for mixed driving.

From full tanks I've had as much as over 350miles to as little as less than 180 miles. Driven gently they can be quite frugal for an old, heavy turbo charged lump, but as with anything as soon as the loud pedal is pressed you can often see the needle of the fuel gauge plummet. To me, 42 sounds about right to a 1/4 tank til the light comes on at this. time of year
