    Running Problem Help

Ok chaps, yet another strange one....

Drove an S2 from Sheffield to Nottingham with no issues at all.
Removed the engine and put into a UR all done as normal.

Engine starts but is overfueling like hell and then cuts out and wont rev above idle untill warm.

It has had a new MFTS fitted and does not make a difference when unplugged.
I have tried running without water sensor in the back of the head (No Difference)
I have replaced a know good Maf (No Difference)
I have tested and replaced throttle position switch (No Difference)
The fuel lines supply and feed are definately the correct way around.
    There is no boost/vac leaks.
There is no error codes at all. (Apart from G28 as usual)

I am just about to swap the fuel pressure regulator but other than that I can't thing why it would pack up working moving from one engine bay to another.

    Any Ideas???

is it running on 5? i had similar bother with my 1.8t in my 90. and didn't realise it was running on 3 due to no exhaust lol but the problem on mine is the ignition amplifier. unplug it and put back in and all was fine

Sure you havent put a plug on the wrong sensor , probably something straight forward like that especially if you drove the car there all working

Well I rigged up a seperate pump in a bucket in front of the car and all is well....

So Replaced both filters, the acumilator and the pump. The new pump that was fitted supplied by the customer lasted about 10 mins and the seized up. So a pump was removed from my old 80 2 door, and it now lives as it should

So had to give it a quick shake down round the local roads.

I will try and get it for it's MOT on Monday morning

Bosch 044 is on order for Tuesday morning

              So all should be cool....
