Hi guys.
I need to reset my adaptation valuees on my ecu as i have been driving with a faulty PAS so it cuts out, but my old wanabe vagcom is dead.
Now i need the values cause i have a friend with a vagcom and i just need the line and values in vagcom?
It will reset to a point, but when u reset the adaptationvalues it does a compleet reset, and that is what i need?
If you remove power from the ECU using any way you like, it will lose all stored adaptation information and act as a brand new unit just put in the car.
Well, then is resets some other values, cause it will not stop acting strange.
Was in the local garage today to get it fixed, vagcom on, reset the values, reset engine fault codes, and bingo, car runs like a dream again

Thanx for the replys
That means you did not remove power from the ECU, and the permanent power supply was on all the time.
This ECU has no permanent memory - you remove it's supply, it zeroes out. As simple as that.
