    Rods AAL/AEL

Is anyone thought about the fact that diesel rods are stronger then original ones in AAN/ABY/ADU and they can be switch easily? I know few guys running 550hp+ on diesel rods and stock pistons... Do you know somebody else, what are their thoughts about this?

I didn't think you could put stock pistons on TDi rods as the pin is much bigger?

TDI uses a 26mm pin, crazy pistons would be needed it's just too big to be pratical

maybe you could use another sleeve? in small end of the rod in order to use a smaller piston pin but dont know if theres enough space under the piston for it to move.

Another possibility would be to change this sleeve for lets say 22 piston pin and enlargen the piston pin hole for it.

Then you sit and calculate the cost/benefit of it:

Cost to modify the superheavy diesel rods VS cost of proven supercheap H-Beam rods.

And what of pin lubrication and the fact the rod length is only 144mm when the doing the conversion you use rods between 155 to 159 mm
