What turbo to put in the RS2?

Jeffer, everything that you wrote is correct.
Only thing you could try is a HX35 instead of a 3071R, they have very similar spool, but the HX35 makes more power and is rebuildable.

But of course, less people have tried that turbo, so less experiences.
I think the 3071 will suit you well.

Jeffer, i know guy in Spain who had 523hp & 683nm with GT3071 0.63AR .....

with oem exhaust sistem (S2),oem engine (old,without any recent overhaul ) and only the Wagner IC + short intake

K26/K27 will have ~300 rpm slower peak boost than stock turbo, but you can get close to 420 hp with it. Logs show 1.7 bar at 4200 rpm in 3rd gear.
I would go for HX35 Super.
Spool should be comparable to stock turbo, but power 450hp+.

This looks smaller than hx35 maybe hx30 hybrid. All the hx35 I have seen till now have a 70/60 turbine impeller.

Don't forget - ported head, custom intake manifold, tubular EM, custom exhaust.
It won't be as impressive on a stock engine, but it is still a very good turbo.

None, sorry. That's why I said - the 3071R is much more tested.
But the problem is, it's not very reliable and not rebuildable. Plus the price is a bit offputting for me compared to the HX35.

My 3B coupe has been running a GT3071 with RS2 manifolds, 3B cams, big IC, 7A FPR, Seimens injectors, 044 pump etc and a Mihnea live remap. We had a lot of surge to start with which had to be mapped around. The RS2 manifolds have now gone onto the avant, the monster ebay IC is sold and I'm fitting Wagner manifolds and IC at the moment and hoping to make better use of the turbo. Mihnea also said I could have more power if I dropped the compression a little but I'd rather have the off boost drivability, at the time anyway, as its no longer my daily I may change my mind.. One thing I remember is Mihnea saying that he was used to seeing surge with 3071 on RS2s but not to worry we should be ok cos I had stock cams in there but we got surge anyway, I've been wondering since if the surge was due to the RS2 Inlet Manifold and nothing to do with the cams. I've not had the car on the dyno in the last setup unfortunately, it was out dragging B5 RS4s at Coombe though and was officially pronounced "pretty quick". Its also still running stock MAF and a dizzy
