The Fumoto valve is one piece cast so the nipple cannot be replaced.
Drain to sump

After trying the adapted sump plug route with a welded on take off that leaked, I decided to get MRC to weld a proper return to the sump and do the job properly. Yes it a bit of pain to take the sump of but not a massive one!
Can't see the point botching it after all the effort that went in to the rebuild already.Comment

I highly disagree that the fumoto valve is a bodge job
To be honest I like it better then the welded piece of alloy on a sump.Comment

Ok, many good ideas here. I also have to put a drain connector to the sump... Jamo's version is quite safe if the pipe is a little bit longer, if the hose come off you don't loose all oil.

Fumoto valve is here.
Its excactly as Jamo said, its one piece and a 19mm oil hose fits very nicely in there. SO i am thinking a 90deg bend on that and a straight or flexi hose to the tank with an adaptor as my tank has 1/4 NPT drain. (god knows what that means.... Rusty???? Heeeeelp!!)Comment

1/4 NPT is National Pipe Thread, American and Tapered (I think there is a very uncommon parallel too) The thread size is nothing like the 1/4" as this refers to the ID of the tube normally.
If you measured the thread it would be more like 1/2".Comment

You will want a 1/4 NPT (male or female?) to 3/4 tube fitting. Is it a straight fitting you want? I may have one in the locker here

i was thinking of using a push on of some sort, so i would need an adaptor from 1/4 to whatever is the thread on the goodridge hoses, and the pushlock type would need to be a 90deg bend to as you say 3/4 size hose fitting.
by push on i mean this: http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/GO...406/index.htmlComment

OK, well you want a 1/4 NPT male or female depending on your tank, to JIC male... I'll have a look for the fitting...
What is on your fumoto valve and do you have a link to it?Comment
