Dmitri, I was wondering about the STR manifold. I have seen it could have nice flow figures, but, as stated on this thread, the fact of not having a individual flow path would make it work not as good.
Have you had any experience with cars running that manifold? I want to upgrade turbo and was wondering if that manifold would be enough. I don't want to overheat the exhaust valves on cylinders 1 and 5.
Thanks and cheers.Audi Coupé S2 '92 -- VW Golf 2 GTI '91 (v2) -- Renault 4 TL '84 -- Audi 100 2,3E '92 (Dad's) -- Suzuki SV 650 S '08

I would get a replica RS2 manifold.
The STR is like "something to put there". It should be a bit better than stock, but not by much.
I have mapped a few cars on stock manifold with RS2 turbo and they were fine as well. The main problem is keeping track and EGT and also that most of the original manifolds are cracked and in bad shape.Comment

Thanks for your answer Dmitri. I know that the original manifold would run the RS2 turbo, but I am aware of the EGT problem, that's why I wanted to be sure (I am right now reading other threads about the STR manifold). The thing is that I have a Volvo K24-7400 turbo that I will be probably fitting soon, and I was wondering if this manifold would be enough. I don't want to spend much money because I have some other bigger things to put on the car at mid term, and it will be then when I will have to spend more.I would get a replica RS2 manifold.

At the moment, fingers crossed, my original manifold seems to be in pretty good shape.
