My ******** S2

I have an audi s2 3b at almost 2 years, but i never have the plasure to go for an ride. i buy the car with a engine problem then i rebuilt the engine with " Crank pulish and balanced, Cat cams (rods, cams, springs), wossner piston, light green bosh injectores, garret gt30, and other stufs to built an fast engine.

At that point all the things going well but wen goes to eletronic part, then start my problems, 3b original eletronic engine work but with lot off problems. Some Portuguese chip tuner try to put the car well but no one solve the probleme. Then after some moths off sufer i destroi all original 3b wires and i buy in UK an Emerald 3K efi. I put new wires in the engine with new engine management thinking that i will finaly have the playsure to drive an S2 but wen crank the engine i have the same problem engine work completely bad.

So any one in this forum have a (not to much expensive) solution for my audi S2. Engine is well but eletronic big problem. probably distributor or other thing.

Im at one step to burn the car.

is it installed well talking about the timing marks?? the distributor,Spark plugs,spark plug wires,battery...is everything new?

Rocco i do this to put engine in point, first cilinder in top, distributor marks aligned. After aligned distributor rotor to cable number 1", next cable to number 2" cilinder, next to number 4" cilinder, next to 5" cilinder and next to 3". Cilinder order 1" 2" 4" 5" 3"

dont know if spark plug wires are ok. I put new batery distributor cam position new, rotor new and cap new. Emerarld have a base map for original engine. the car work but like this " trum trum pum trum trum pum" lol

Part of your problem may be you have a base map for a standard engine , but you don't have standard injectors, I'm thinking the air fuel mix will be all wrong.

Have you done a compression test?

If you're still using the hall sensor in the dizzy, make sure the gear is good and there's no backlash to the cam, check you have the correct narrow tip rotor.

Would be worth just trying stock injectors with the stock fuel map as driftin jo says. My car ran really badly on RS2 injectors and the stock map when I fitted them prior to mapping, very rich and lots of smoke, I had to put the stock ones back in to drive to the tuner.

I think you can do a check for hall sensor problems, start the engine and then disconnect the hall at the dizzy and see if it runs better, ( I think thats the test, if not someone will come along and correct me ..)

I put in distributor this wire sequence 1 2 4 5 3 ( cilinder one in top rotor to number 1) in sparks i use the same sequence 1 2 4 5 3 thinking wel is the same i have sequenced this way distributor 12345 sparks 12345.
I think i have a problem with spark wires position.
Someone help here.

I think very few people have experience with that ECU on this forum.
It would probably be best to contact the supplier...

Also, it might be a good idea to get the car mapped on a dyno by a tuner, if you do not know much about calibrating engines.

Read what he's written again, he seems to be saying he's counted "1, 2, skip one 4,5, and back to 3" round the dissy and connected them to 12453, (so the 3rd one round connects to cyl 3 instead of cyl 4 etc)
