Can't get E85 here, that's why I was not mentioning it.
As for added performance - meth injection will do the same to you.

That said - E85 is a LOT easier to use. Just fit bigger injectors, remap the ECU and pour it in the tank. None of the hassle of the setup of LPG/CNG systems.

On January 14, 2008, General Motors announced a partnership with Coskata, Inc. The goal is to produce cellulosic ethanol cheaply, with an eventual goal of US$1 per U.S. gallon ($0.30/L) for the fuel. The partnership plans to begin producing the fuel in large quantity by the end of 2008. In June 2009, this goal is still ahead of the firm. By 2011 a full-scale plant will come on line, capable of producing 50 to 100 million gallons of ethanol a year (200–400 ML/a)

Wonder if this has/will come to fruition?

Creating ethanol (the E in E85) from agri-waste would be awesomely efficient.

That said, it's probably still cheaper to invade a middle-eastern country and build a pipeline
