Audi 200 3B tuning, change ECU?

    Hi everyone,
First I want to apologize in advance for any typing errors and grammar that may follow:

    I own a 91' Audi 200 with 3b engine.
My plans is to aim for aprox 400-450hp in engine with budget tuning. Im planning to run original Motronic ECU with a chip. The problem occured when I though of ignition, and 3b runs a singel coil and a distrobitor. The chip im planning to use is made for AAN/ABU/ADY ECU and will not fit in a 3B ECU. I also wich to use 1 coil per cylinder.

So I thought that "thats not a problem, I just buy a AAN ECU and problems solved.." WRONG! 3b wire harness dont match AAN ECU...

So im sitting here and wondering if anyone before me have though same idea and have converted their wire harness.

    Additional info:

I have tried for a few years ago tuning a 10vt engine, bought only the most finest and expencive stuff i could find. This failed badly!

I have a lot of parts im gonna reuse, but Im not planning to build a new 034EFI again, because i have to remap it again and thats not a expense i can afford right now. A chip already have all this

    Ok so, let's see...
You have not said much about what you want to use on your car to achieve said goal of 400-450hp.

What kind of exhaust manifold? Turbo? Injectors? are you planning to use?
Also, your "chip" is not a magic device and it's basically calibration of your ECU for your hardware.
The way to do this is not to take a "chip" and build up your car around it, but the other way around.

If you want to convert 3B to ABY (which you should if going for more power), then you need an ABY/AAN ecu, 5 ignition coils and swap some pins in the ECU harness, plus add additional wires for the per-cylinder ignition.

mate, just buy my 3b ecu with 4bar map sensor mrc live remapped
with 2bar boost on the tap.and that should get you to 400 ish with rs2 turbo.
[SIGPIC][SIGPIC]/SIGPIC]92 3B pearl white=gone back home to Germany, probably in bits and pieces

RS2 VOLCANO BLACK] soon to be broken to bits

        1. You will not get 400 with RS2 turbo.
        2. Buying an ECU mapped for someone elses car with possible anomalies is the best way to blow up your engine.
        3. Spark hop with high power levels on 3B will also screw up your engine pretty fast.

I mean, I understand you want to sell your stuff, but you could at least be *try* to be truthful.

I have a chip that matches my setup so that part is already arranged. I have seen it work.
But to get some of the highlights, It's gona be a custom exhaust manifold, a custom BW turbo, green 440cc Bosch injectors @ 4 bar, H-rods and stainless steel valves.

The only problem i need your help to is to convert to aan wire harness, in other words, the pin swapping. Im planning on using 5 x 034HO DIS coils.

          EDIT:

          Is this all i need?

Chip that matches your setup huh... what a load of bs.
I am sure whoever sold it to you must have done a really good job.
Unless you bought the entire engine with said chipset it's not going to run right. I can guarantee you this.

For coils, buy 2.5 TFSI coils for 30-36EUR/piece. I have tested them upto 2.3 bar boost.

              mate,
BO used to run this ecu on his 3b without any problems,i'm only trying to help by pointing the way forward.and if i have something that i think will help the man then why not.

Because you are offering to sell an ECU without even asking what setup he has.
Fuel pressure, Injector type, Injector latency, displacement, compression ratio, wastegate spring, wastegate wear etc all have to be exactly the same for it to run right on a high power setup. Especially when the chipset has been custom-made for your car.

What are the chances that everything is exactly the same? You did not even ask.

Plus, what about the gazillion of threads on this forum of people blowing up 3B's due to spark hop?

                  People people, calm down..

I may have explained my problem a littlebit bad, i'm asking for the pinouts and wondering if this is the right stuff i need to convert the 3b wire harness to be used with a AAN ECU

Well, as you already found the thread:

Yes, all you need is 5 coils + wiring and then swap the pins.
After that it should fire right up.

About engine mapping, I really don't recommend using someone's chip who says it "will run good on your car". It is very likely they don't know what they are talking about.
Get your car custom mapped - it's cheaper than having to replace the engine later. I'd map it if I could...

Your fuel pressure will already be different from AAN... use a 7A FPR to get close...

think you have to do some more homework; to get the 450 hp.... rebuild the engine, some custom EM( wagner EM), and some bigger injektors, bigger turbo+++;bigger piping for the exosgasses.. then you have to work out witch engine eltronic you need.......

440cc's don't flow enough for 450hp. Perhaps 430hp or so.
Also, there are no specs posted on the turbo... "Custom BW turbo" does not tell much. Not to mention the stock intercooler is pretty useless...

Going above 400hp your MAF won't last etc... and those "chips" are very suspicious to say the least. There are not a lot of people who know how to map the stock ECU over 400hp.

Okay, I downloaded this and had a look on it.

Just to be sure i understand the pinout.

                            Ex:

Pin #3 on 3b is FP-Relay signal, Pin #3 on AAN is FP-Relay. This means that the pin dont need to get moved.
Pin #6 on 3b is rev counter, Pin #6 on AAN is Aircon I/O. This means that the pin #6 and pin #40 need to switch places
Pin #15 on 3b is Injector3, Pin #15 on AAN is N/C (N/C is not connected?) This means that Pin #15 shall after conversion be open with no pins.

                            Correct?
                            ________

I already have switched the stock 3b FPR to one from Aeromotive, looks much like 034 solution seen here: http://www.034motorsport.com/fuel-in...0vt-p-573.html

I have personally removed various adjustable FPR's from over 10 cars because they could not maintain constant pressure.
                              Fit 7A FPR.
