all that conectors are the same. only must have 4 pin and be from Audi ,VW, SEAT,..
when I need those conectors , go to place (don't know the how it calls - place with lot broken cars, which sales for a parts) and searching it on golf 5, audi c5,b6,b7, a3,seat leon...
there is lot of those conectors , not only on ignition coil loom, audi b6 have each in every door, and 2 in trunk(one is on fuel pump) ...
    for 20 conectors I give them 15 euro , thanks , and goodbye .
than I have it for 4 set of ignition coil.
the problem is that cars are rear on place like this. they call me when some of then came... and I go to take conectors..

Yes. As per the diagram, you connect the ground wire to the cam cover, like the OE coils. You can run 5 individual ground wires but I wanted to cut down the bulk so I "T'd" (lineman splice) 4 of them (2,3,4, and 5) into one thick common wire than ran from the No. 1 (front) coilpack to the corner of the cam cover.

Yes, but I would run the Pin 4 ground to the cam cover and the Pin 2 ground separately back through the harness as per the OE POSs (probably ends up grounding on the intake manifold). I used a common Pin 2 groundline with 4 linesman splices as per the Pin 4 ground.

The V8 coils that I am running are these (paid under $16 each):

                    Hi,

I want to do this conversion on my RS2, just some questions.....

What is the current opinion on the best coils to use...
Can I still use the original rocker cover ?
Do the coils need to be modified to fit ?

                    Thanks

                    Paul

Not much difference, I believe 06E 905 115 E is the most up-to-date version as shown above

Can I still use the original rocker cover ?
Yes but you need to loose the coil cover or at the very least modify it to allow some ventilation - heat kills the COP type coilpacks.

Do the coils need to be modified to fit ?
                      No

In my very strong opinion the answer is 1001% ABSOLUTELY NOT. The heat will kill the coilpacks much sooner than later if you run the OE coil pack cover.

IMO, for an RS2, because of their rarity, you should run new OE coils and POSs to maintain the OE look and the value of your vehicle.

Haha. Another style to use VAG coils.

Okay, sure but WHY? That was the best solution to a coil problem? A "coil-on-plugwire" coil pack?

If there was no better available at the minute when he build that thing? Don't know the history, but it's 900hp build, and the guy putted togheter the latest engine in a short time.
