I'm using similar stainless manifold. You will get 20 like this one for the price of 1 wagner ! Everything depends of steel quality some of those cheap manifolds are made from crap, but some of them are fine and with some customisation they could be perfect. 50/50 chance

Linear thermal expansion coefficients of common materials, including metals, plastics, and composites.

To follow up a little on the comments made in your other thread.

The reason the cuts are needed are with a 900 degree rise in temperature the length of the manifold will increase by:

          Coeff of expansion of 316 is about 19 x 10^-6 m/m K

          (900 x 19 x 0.000001 x 0.5) =0.0085m

So in all likelyhood it's going to stretch by 10mm along it's length.

I know within the past year I remember discussion over these SS exhaust manifolds on ebay for 150$ but I couldn't seem to locate the thread in the forums. I've heard they're poor quality and they crack, but for 150 bucks I feel like I can use it for the hardware and the flanges at the least to...

Doesn't sound great unless you want to re manufacture it.

ok so these are no good having on a 20V or any engine for that matter, poor quality design etc !

Someone must have had experience good or bad with these on a car , either way how about we Test one of these out and see what results we get ?

Totally agree.. couldn't fault the wall thickness or welds on my manifold but willing to Test it out and see how it holds up.

I am no guru on airflow / fluid dynamics, but the collector looks asolutely woeful. The thermal concerns are equally valid too.

If you want to 'test it' - have someone like JP (RWD19T) put it on his flowbench and compare how it performs vs S2 or RS2 or Wagner EMs...
Then you will have some data on what to expect from this shiny piece of metal.

think this is 304 steel, not 316 or 321... cheap and will not hold together under heatstress
