So, when do you need a copper headgasket? At what boost levels starts the OEM-metall gasket to fail?

I need a thicker gasket, hense the copper gasket. As far OEM gasket, I have no idea at what boost it would start to fail.
kieran 20v thanks for the link, do you know of any one useing one of these gaskets.

The block has to be O-ringed to seal on copper head gaskets. Having the pistons skimmed will bring the compression down but how much and to what compression ratio you are looking for will have to be calculated.

its not about the HG failing its about lowering CR to make the most of a big turbo.

I had not planed to have the block oringed,is it needed if you use the 034 compression lowering gasket,or is that the same as the copper one.
