OK let me repeat It's not a hybrid!!!!

It's a standard garret turbo GT with this hotside for the 2871 http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GTH

or this for for the gt30 series http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant...egory_Code=GTH

When you buy a brand new garrett it comes without the turbine housing you then buy the correct housing for your application.

Don't be suckered in by 034 saying it's a special hybrid as that is ******

I see. I always thought the T3, T4 etc used Garretts own flange design and the K24, K26 etc were the Borg Warner design. Intersting that Ive never heard of a KKK cold side on a T3 flange.

This should give me more scope to get a turbo built to my requirements this side of the pond. I may even be able to get my current K26/T04E hybrid (although I guess thats not a hybrid either) modified to take the GTturbine.

Look out for the new gtx2867r guys. 450hp turbo low lag. Looks good.

I would like to experiment with its compressor on mine. Should spool faster with no worry of surge as its a ported housing and flow as well as a 56 trim gt2871r.

Whilst on the subject, how much psi is it safe to run on the standard pistons/compression ratio. This may influence my decision.

This question is wrong. There is no answer to this question.

You boost until it stops making power or you hit thermal limits.
Boost does not equal cylinder filling, so this question does not have an answer.

From observation - generally you will hit knock limit if you boost more than 2.1 bar on 98 RON in midrange on std. cams. But if you tune the car wrong, you will bend your rods even at 1.5 bar.
