RS2 turbo max torque

Right I've been searching for half an hour now, I'm sure this information must be on the fourm but I can't find it for the life of me

Loads on informaiton on the max hp, and lots of comments on the RS2 turbo being a torque monster - but what is the realistic max torque that it will produce, bottom end permitting?

in my car i did 644nm...and 391hp, 2.0bar as a peak holding it and at around 5200 rpm its drops to 1.5bar....and then less and less

it was my last 3B setup,and of course i think that these numbers are too much optimist....because normal power on RS2 turbo should be around 360/370Hp with RS2 Injectors,because they are maxed for sure


anyway i think that 600nm could be true

never had a problem with torque in my OEM 3B bottonend ,the same as my 3B hearbox first and now a ASZ coupe quattro Box

This is such a rigged question...
How much torque it will produce depends on boost.

To bend rods you need 2.3+ bar with heavy knock.

i would say 600nm, more or less i think, dont worry with Prj,he is just kidding

if everything is running fine in your car i would say dont worry too much with the RS2 turbo,only based in my personal experience of course

Upto 700nm if run to crazy boost levels.
Normal aggressive map - 550nm.

thanks... so next question, by crazy boost you mean 2.3+bar as you mentioned above?
With the appropriate injectors and mapping to prevent knock, & uprated rods for peace of mind, how long would the turbo last?

No need for uprated rods at all on this thing.
Seriously, my friend ran the thing at 2.5 bar for half a year with crazy knock and only two rods were slightly bent.

With proper mapping - forget rod upgrades.

If you want it reliably...
GT3076R, Big MAF, 600cc+ injectors, rod upgrade...

Will give you 700nm all day and work perfectly
