ok i have been have been having a problem with getting vaccum in my fuel tank to the point where it eventually squeeks, I have removed the carbon canister and pipe and now have the tank venting to atmosphere from the pressure regulator in the back but I am still having a problem and guessing the little fuel regulator is sticking.
The knock sensor does not do anything, it's a microphone.
Until you figure out why your car is running mega lean, I'd avoid pushing it. Tightening down the wastegate spring is the worst you can do in this issue.
Yeah i know it is just finding someone, I am going down to the mrc meet so hopefully I can get a swap done then, I have just checked the resistance of the wire in the maf and i seem to be getting around the 1.8 ohm figure and i was thinking it needed to be nearer 1
Tried a working new maf today and it made no difference to how the car is running so that is another thing ticked off the list, any ideas what route i go down now?
did you try to remove pipe from wastegate, and make your engine to fuel cut?
that mean that your car will run without regulation on wastegate.. be careful because you can make 1.5bar in 1. gear ok.. but in 2.gear defenetly .. and take a look how fast can they produce 1.5bar. it must be very fast.
because the turbo and boost are full mehanical , only N75, bad or stuck wastegate , boost leak , or restriction in exhaust pipe can make a low boost . NOTING ELSE ..
go and remove that pipe from lower chamber on wastegate, put something (bolt) in that vakum pipe which came from wastegate. wastegate will be full closed and you must get full boost and than fuel cut.
if you can make the fuel cut, your wastegate, exhaust, are good, there NO boost leak..
go and try.
