  • Lumpy Idle on RS2

My RS2 has a slightly lumpy idle, but drives beautifully otherwise and goes as it should. It just misses ever so slightly on idle every second or two. 135000 miles, it was doing it before and after the recent cambelt renewal and changing the spark plugs has made little difference. Fuel consumption seems about right, ie heavy around town and late 20s mpg (uk gallons) on a run. I just know it shouldn't do it and am out of ideas.

Hello, I don't have them, but I do have easy access to Audi's own diagnostics machines. What should I get looked at? MAF looks clean, throttle body has been cleaned and checked.

Slight misfire at idle = bad coil or pos channel.

or even the Coilpack boots, although this tends to show up at higher engine loads.
