I'm thinking about installing a restrictor in the supply line of my turbo and want to hear your thoughts and personal experiences.
Stock AAN with Holset hy35. The supply line is a -3 an. When the engine is cold the oil pressure is about 96 psi and I get a nice fog machine effect from the exhaust. As the motor warms it diminishes. I'm thinking a restrictor could help cure the problem as I feel that it is the pressure pushing oil past the turbo seals. The turbo is freshly rebuilt. There seems to be a debate as to if the -3 line is already small enough. I read some posts though about a Holset not liking pressures above 60 psi. Some people claimed that a .070" restrictor was good for a rb25. I'm hoping that someone has restrictor experience with a Holset on an AAN. Thanks for the help
