    NF pistons

How will they do with 1.4-1.5 bar boost not more?
Need them for a 20vt worn block(owner has too small budget for new 81.25-81.5 etc pistons)

    Regards

So he won't bore the block? You can get a set of used OEM pistons for 50-150£. They are good for 2+bar boost 600+hp.

He has to bore the 20vt block because it is worn.So he needs no less than 81.25 pistons.I was thinking at the 82.5 nf pistons for an alternative.
New stock 81 rings create a 1.1 mm gap in the worn block.
Here a set of forged wiseco's cost around 700-900 eur.Put a fiew hundreds and buy a complete 20vt car hopfuly with a good block...But nf-s engines are easy to find around 50-100 eur,and the nf crank is good too for aan.

Not much(around 200.000).The wearing apeard because overheating the engine due to a small colant leaking at head gasket. The car was running a lot with low colant in the colant tank.
So,how NA pistons from a NF engine will perform in a turbo aplication? This engine will run stock or max 1.4-1.5 bar.

Use supra pistons with BMW (2.8) rods...
Can both be had for very little.

Just looked it up, they run 22mm gudgen pins. Wonder if a Audi rod could be opened up to that... Are they cheap?

They are cheap, I heard 200-250 EUR for a set.
You need to run BMW 2.8L rods with them afaik.

I never actually saw how it all fits together inside engine, I just know it has been used with very good results on messed up blocks over here.

What head gasket are they using at 83mm. It's a pity they arnt 82mm. Stock gasket works well at that size.
