In theory, I *think* the engine SN is supposed to be located as shown here:
I say "theory" because I can't find it on my 93 UrS4 AAN (10/92 build). I want to be able to find these engine numbers because of the "tuna can" Hall sender break point and also because there seems to be a breakpoint in the UrS6 engines when some, e.g. up to Nov. 95 build date, got a plug where the UrS4 engines got an oil pressure sender whereas after Nov. 95 (maybe), the engines were not drilled and tapped for said plug, just left cast shut. The location is shown below as "Potential Location..." underneath the oil pressure switch.

That is IF the sticker is still intact. After finding my engine number on the head, I saw a photo of the cam belt cover with an engine number on it. So I checked my sticker and all that was left was "AAN 00", i.e. no help. But then I checked my spare AAN and its cam belt cover. Yep, number on the head is the same as the number on the cam belt cover. I did not know that until yesterday.
