Anybody got a photo that shows their engine SN location?

In theory, I *think* the engine SN is supposed to be located as shown here:

I say "theory" because I can't find it on my 93 UrS4 AAN (10/92 build). I want to be able to find these engine numbers because of the "tuna can" Hall sender break point and also because there seems to be a breakpoint in the UrS6 engines when some, e.g. up to Nov. 95 build date, got a plug where the UrS4 engines got an oil pressure sender whereas after Nov. 95 (maybe), the engines were not drilled and tapped for said plug, just left cast shut. The location is shown below as "Potential Location..." underneath the oil pressure switch.

Andy, thanks. I went out and looked at my spare AAN and sure enough it is there, on the head. Didn't find the one on the block. Also found a number on the AAN in my 93 S4 in the same location. So, as long as the head matches the block (i.e. "numbers machining", finding the number on the head and the build date will be the way to my answer. Thanks so much.

Doesnt the AAN timing belt cover have a sticker with barcode and numbers like the ABY ?

That is an awful handy place to check the engine number... though worth checking it is actually matching the etched/stamped number on the motor

I have never seen an engine number on any 20v block, only on the cyl head.

Yes they DO. That is IF the sticker is still intact. After finding my engine number on the head, I saw a photo of the cam belt cover with an engine number on it. So I checked my sticker and all that was left was "AAN 00", i.e. no help. But then I checked my spare AAN and its cam belt cover. Yep, number on the head is the same as the number on the cam belt cover. I did not know that until yesterday.
