    Intermittent power loss

    Where to start.
Had this issue last year and thought it was due to the high intake temps and after fitting the water injection things appeared to have been sorted and with Paul's further tweaks to the ECU it has run exceptionally well until the last week or so when now and again it would feel as though i still had the handbrake on a couple of notches and early this morning (when it should have been at its best) I timed the in gear performance and have lost almost 1/2sec in second between 30-50 with no signs of it returning to its 'normal' form. Anyone had this and any ideas where to start. WOuld a faulty IAT sensor cause this as it's about the only sensor thats still original..

Ideally you'd VAG COm it but it could be as simple as poorer fuel or just much higher ambient temperatures.

If it had been a hot day I'd have accepted that though since fitting the water injection the performance has been a lot more consistent ... with bouts of performance loss on the same journey. Checked tightness of Knock sensors and they are as they should be, though I guess one of the new cheap e-bay versions could be breaking down intermittently....

Don't deal with Jo Bloggs, Appears you need a VAT number to be able to deal with them..... Any other offers. Might get a new IAT whilst I'm at it and then thats all the sensors on the engine changed over the last 3 years
