Mouting/fitting of the ECU behind the glove compartment.

    Hi guys

This is something I have been thinking about over the years... How have you guys fixed your ECU up behind the glove compartment? Not only do you have a couple of A/C pipes there which I'm a bit afraid to kill but I'm also a bit scared that it might wear a hole on the water drain rubber hose connected to the evaporator. As seen here my ECU is more or less just stuck up between the A/C pipes and the glove compartment and the ear on the ECU is more or less resting on the previously mentioned rubber hose.

There's supposed to be some sort of mounting bracket for the ECU originally, right?

    Cheers

On my 3b there are holes in the plate up the side of the ecu, and there was a piece of metal with a hole in it up behind the heater box.

I kinda had to contort myself upside down into the footwell to do it.

Mmm.. Isn't that a nasty neck wrecking exercise so tell me. It would be nice to have a little chat with those german engineers over some of their choices back then,
