Couple of questions about ABY/ADU Fuel rail and hoses

    Ok,

Have a few questions for the ABY/ADU owners out there about the ABY/ADU fuel rail and fuel hoses.

I'm considering converting to ABY/ADU fuel rail to get a cleaner install.

On the 3B fuel rail you can loosen the pipe attached to the fuel rail, however on this picture I'm not sure if the pipe can be loosen?

Could ABY/ADU owners please take a couple of pictures of how the feed/return line connects from fuel rail to the holders on the car.

Also are the Aby/ADU fuel hoses flexible?

I tried to do this last week on my 3B as I needed the space where the FPR is to fit a swirl pot for the breather system. I was trying to fit an ADU fuel rail and found that it will not fit the 3B inlet manifold as the FPR fouls. I then tried fitting the ADU inlet manifold and that hits the distributor

Even if I had got everything to fit the fuel lines would have needed modifying as they too would have fouled on the distributor and the ABY/ADY hardlines are in a different orientation to the 3B ones. I gave up in the end and fitted the swirl pot somewhere else

the aby inlet manifold will fit with the dizzy if you use the phenolic spacer. but the fuel rail still wont.

Yeah I think I will just scrap the idea and get some new fuel hoses surely that will be cheaper

Then I think I will also get this adaptor from 034MS

And 2x Male AN-6 to Male M14x1.5 and 1x Female AN-6 to Female AN-6 then I can use the never type FPR and avoid any problems if my 7A FPR fails.

This is something I want to do also, but, in theory, it would work?

I have the RS2 IM fitted with dizzy in place currently with 3B fuel rail and 3B FPR.

If you were to remove 3B fuel rail and FPR, fit the ADU rail with ADU or ABY (or 034 adjustable FPR ) all you would need to do would be to have 2 new hoses made up to fit from the stock 3B hard lines right?

Ultimately I am dumping the dizzy, mainly as I want to run coils, but also as currently this is fouling the proper location for the cruise control.

So I updated the picture, can anybody confirm if the bolt in the picture is detachable?

Do you know what connections the stock 3B hardlines have?

I'll check on mine in a bit, but I don't think it is. I'm sure that hardline that runs along the rail is welded on. I'll try and get some more detailed pictures.

I also looked at doing this to free up some space, but gave up on the idea.
