What WG spring is this?

Yes, i've had a "search" and tried to identify the WG spring I pulled from my 3B today. And it looks and feels more like a damn valve spring! It measures approx 64mm in length and the coil thickness is nearly a whopping 4mm! Unfortunately I cannot test its strength coz Paul has my ECU and I have no boost gauge anyway.

Surely that can't be standard?

The screw on the cap looks to have been messed with but who knows? Its as is when I bought it.

Superchips job as I thought... looks like a big spring in those photos... the stock one is much thinner.

Have a look on-line for some. They are ~38mm diameter and should carry a '1.4' bar rating for 0.4bar of boost. Uncompressed height of a stock spring is ~83mm and diameter is about 2mm. Some aftermarket WG use suitable sized springs.

Looks like a 1.9 bar spring to me, ie. very stiff.
It's also screwed down a lot. If you can undo that slotted screw you might find the original hex bolt underneath it
