It's an adapter based on rs4 MAF that emulates s2/rs2 MAF ?????Paul Nugent

Mmmm - yeah - that is not trivial stuff... Dmitri spent a long time revenging the MAF & load code in Motronic so that he has a solution for HFM5 MAF from RS4 - fair amount of custom coding and some resistor swaps on the ECU with other tweaks to make it all work. Once the ECU (and loom) is modified then it is plug and play with the RS4 MAF.
Am external, purely electronic adapter, is good concept - but it wouldnt be easy !
I know how one could be made with a suitable processor and such but its not at all trivial... might be worth investigation and/or prototyping
But getting back on topic - try an S2/RS2 MAF on your car to see how she goes with AFR & adaptation - if it is lots better then your adapter for the RS4 MAF must be out of whack !Paul Nugent

As for HFM5 stuff - there is one thing missing from the puzzle
The price. hehe.
Anyway, for your running rich issue - try cleaning maf with brake cleaner, do a full boost leak test.
Dropping CR within sane limits won't really affect your AFR, as Motronic uses the MAF to read how much air is going into the engine and then delivers the requested target of fuel.
As long as you don't change injectors, fuel pressure etc, it should always be the same.
But yeah, sounds like a massive boost leak.Comment

Do I read that PKM price list right - 1100 Eurios for an HFM adapter ? If so that is truly outrageous.Paul Nugent

HalloHi Dmitri, lang nicht gesprochen
-- > so look at this: http://www.pk-motorsport.de/diagramm...PS%20S4.S6.pdf

Pretty high prices.
For changing the car from stock MAF to HFM5, diagnostics and tuning it mostly from scratch I usually ask 400 EUR...
But yeah, I guess at PKM you get a TÜV cerificate as well.Comment
