Best street setup with stock rods!

Hi everybody,

I was wondering, what is the best street setup option without change rods (good torque with low lag and enough HP )?

I read so much on this forum but can't decide between GT2871R and GT3071R ( or something else )

What do you think about 034 Motorsport chip package like this:

Word of advice, don't buy a 034 package

OK, I think you have good reasons

Problem is where to do custom chip reprogram, in my country there is no one to do this

There are many setups running standard rods and fairly large turbos - you have to map it accordingly. The rods give you a safety factor that the stock rods don't offer. It's more likely that the clutch will be an issue. 3B or ABY will be the main starting question. After that, it all depends on budget and what you want. A smaller turbo that's wrung out a bit will work fine on the street; you need the rest of the package to be up to the job.

3B with 01A, but I'll buy 6spd 01E for this engine upgrade , and some clutch kit also.

Go for 3071R with 0.82A/R hotside.
No surge and you will have full boost (1.9 bar) at around 3700 rpm in third, which is good.

As for chipsets - forget canned tunes at this power level. Just never going to work right.
If you have no one to tune Motronic then get a standalone and get it mapped professionally. You will get a MUCH better result than just installing some chips in ECU and hoping the car won't blow up...

When You said "get a standalone and get it mapped professionally", what do You exactly mean? Is it possible to describe engine setup to someone (like You ), and to get appropriate mapped chip?

All of this would be nice if it were "tuners" in my country , so 034 Motorsport chip is the only solution in my case

Pay for someone like Repo, Pnanassy to come to your country to map, the 034 chip is no solution, if in doubt search the forum for performance analyst of it's output.

I just searched the forum but couldn't find anything bad about 034 chips. What is wrong with them?

You get about 300 bhp with the chips allegedly yet you can easily get 420-430 bhp out of the same turbo with a live mapped ecu

So I'll get 300HP with GT3071R and 034 Chip package Stage I ???

It's better to buy complete RS2 setup and get 315HP instead of 034's 300HP
