PAS pump belt very close to cam cover

Does anyone know have a problem with the pas belt being very close to the cam cover?

Mine is so close it's rubbed a grove into the cover

Yes mine has done the same. Shim the PAS pulley wheel out with a washer. Also do you have this bracket fitted? It stops the belt bouncing under load. MRC say it's common to happen on high torgue cars

Cheers Epic I have that bracket in place, I'll try shimming the PAS pulley out

I suspect mine is too.. The engine was making a heap of noise , especially when cold, and I quieted it down with wd40 on pas belt just last weekend. I thought it was the belt rubbing on something or too loose, suspected that bracket too.
Will check it out.
That last photo looks like its the actual pump pulley rubbing rather than the belt.

On mine the belt has also rubbed the cover a bit.

No Newsh I have the diamond washer the cambelt doesn't run true without it

Are all the clips in place on the cam cover.. I have seen this before but only when the bottom clip is broken away on the cam cover...
