    kkk 26/27

Is anyone using a kkk 26/27 (dialynx version, if any different) on their s2?
How much power canbe had from this turbo?

Pretty old technology in original form. Good for ~400bhp at the top end but not so great off boost. TomC had this for a while... think that Paul Jenkinson is maybe running with this spec at the moment. This has more lag than the RS2 turbo.

That turbo is no good for 400 BHP as everyone claims, BTDT. Running the same boost as an RS2 produces more heat and less air flow from the K26/27. Intake temp differential on an RS2 running 2.0 Bar dropping to 1.1= 27degree C in 6th gear, on a K26/27= 35 degree C only in 4th gear. IMHO a bad turbo.

Well, I use this turbo. It's a hybrid from k26 hot side/k27 cold side and k29 rotor on cold side. It is quite nice 4 me, I want to do with it about 380 HP on flywheel, and I think it is possible. Ofcourse, it is old technology turbo, but... it fits to standard ex. manifold

K26/27 comes in many forms. Hotsides can be either #6 or #8, plus some have special wheels on the coldside. I did have a #6 hotside with std sized coldside, this was OK for about 370bhp.

I now have a modified K26/27 with #8 hotside and a larger wheel on the coldside.(not a 29 wheel). This turbo is proving quite good IMHO. Still a fair amount of lag. Full boost at 3800rpm (2.1bar) in 5th gear.

I would not upgrade from RS2 to the 'std' type of 26/27, its just not worth it. I learnt the hard way Had to buy one that would produce more power.

You need a custom EM to put this stuff on.

Read the specs! This one built with 270 degree thrust bearing.

I think that the GT series Garret turbochargers better than this one, but cost 2 times more...
