i put the sensor closer to the pin and welded a thicker one.
note here that many say that the added weight of the new pin would bring the flywheel out of balance.
Is there anyway to confirm that the pin isn't reacting with the sensor before i approach this task, also i's your flywheel out of balance? And how did you come to conclusion that the pin was your problem were you to having problems starting your car ?
I would still say - remove any pinswap, remove any adapter and try to start the car on motronic and stock injectors!
You will then at least know if the problem is with VEMS or somewhere else.
If it does not start - use VAG-COM and get the error codes!
It's much easier to remove some wires and swap ecu and injectors than try to remove the flywheel...
P.S.
If the Motronic did not turn on the fuel pump and all wiring was correct, then there is no signal from engine speed sensor, as Motronic always turns on the fuel pump when the signal from the engine speed sensor exceeds 13 rpm.
VEMS starts the fuel pump as soon as you turn on the ignition via the prime settings, until we see his config can't confirm if he has the right settings for that

Yup, but he wrote that he tried starting the car on Motronic and the fuel pump did not go on.

That with the motronic swap would do the trick but there are other options also.
After we see the config file of his he can do a trigger log with vems. That way we can see if the triggers read correct.
If the pin is the problem one can weld through the starter opening and/or grind the sensor holder in order to reduce the gap.
Yes very well said i will swap out the connector and anything else that i may have switched, and try starting it there this way like you said i'f it starts then we know what the issue i's, and i will have that file for you guys tonight once i get home, should be i'n 2-3 hours and then you guys can take a look at it there and well see your input from there
