Maximum power from stock AAN?

I was wondering, how is possible to get "only" about 280PS from stock AAN with chip and 3bar map, comparing with Opel C20LET engine (stock 204PS, with phase 3 more over 300PS)?

280 PS is close to the limit of what a K24 on a 2.2L can support safely, simple. 300 BHP is just about possiable on stock set up as hs been proven by members on here, that really is the limit of the K24 and also not far off maxing out the standard injectors.

For 300+ you will need meth injection, or lowered compression.
I don't see it being done otherwise, the turbo can not physically flow and starts blowing hot air, so you will need to cool down that hot air or increase knock resistance or both.

OK, but what's the secret with C20LET engine, 4 cylinders, 2000ccm, kkk16 turbo and 310-330PS with stock turbo?

Bigger turbo probably. Or lower CR.

kkk k16 falls apart at 300hp in no time at all 330 is ********

Wiki says it has 8.5:1 CR, so can run a lot more timing.

As per above, it's a function of getting the air in, cooled and out more efficiently and better than stock.

Quite a few 'stock' S2s are breaking 290 on stock turbo with generic remaps and a few choice mods, combined with a bit of age to loosen things up perhaps. Mine ran 294 and 297 on a dyno that was giving realistic figures for the other 10 or so R/S2s that ran and I've seen a couple more run those kind of numbers since. Exhaust and inlet mods with it all leak free is the key. There's not much left in it but the turbo was in excellent condition when removed and all after perhaps 167k miles too - I'd say that's pretty impressive. There's also the additional torque and reduced boost threshold of the smaller turbo, which makes it easier to drive, if not faster.

I severely doubt that the figures you refer to are on bone stock C20s - what's phase 3 all about? Are we on SRS or RS246 all of a sudden

The engine is better, just the turbo needs changing. a turbo can only flow what it can flow.
My mate had a 300hp evo and it could not overtake my 280 hp S2, what does that tell you !
What it tells me is that on a dyno it could make 300hp for 10 seconds but on the street the air form the turbo was so hot it just overwhelmed the intercooler in 30 seconds of WOT and suddenly you have about 270 hp instead of 300, I have seen this on dyno runs, turbos were pushed way passed where they are efficient and the result is X hp for 1st run then less and lesswhere after.
You can quote dyno numbers all day but the street tells a different story.

To achieve 300+ on a c20let you would need the following to be safe and run good power all the time.
Bigger intercooler, bigger pipe work, better downpipe with seperated wastegate outlet 2.5" system, no cat, lower compression, 4.5bar fuel reg, software evo5 from vmax being better than eds phase 3, stronger spring on actuator or different actuator, injectors and a bigger turbo.

I had k24/26rs turbo from vmax on my c20let. And evo5 with the above mods and it was running 343 on the last dyno plot can't remember what boost it was set to.

My c20let was also a high miler and reliable.

K16 will die quick.

Great engine but fails with dizzy, leads and bad spark.

I would have aan over it.

No, it's not possible only with chip. You have to do more:

- better cats
- better exhost system
- better fuel (100 oktan or more)
- 100% healthy motor with over 12bar compression
- better intercooler
- outside temp. not over 18°c or water/methanol
...

This are the recommendations of PKM (PK-Motorsport) for 290-295 hp.
