You don't need a 3 bar map sensor, as the turbo is too inefficient above 1.5 bar gauge.

      1. There is a very good reason Audi fitted a 3 bar MAP sensor on the RS2 stock, when it is only running 1.4 bar boost. Any chip that runs 1.45 or more with 250kpa sensor has no boost cut down low.
      2. My chipset runs 1.6 bar peak, and all is well. You could even do 1.7 for a short time, but no point.

I also had a 3bar map sensor in my ecu. Fuel pump also needs changed and better wiring to feed pump with correct voltage.

So not straight forward to achieve 300+ on c20let.280 was a figure most people got from healthy engine usually on phase 2 software.

I still have chips for 360ps software

          - 100% healthy motor with over 12bar compression

          - outside temp. not over 18°c or water/methanol
This are the recommendations of PKM (PK-Motorsport) for 290-295 hp.
There are lots of people running MTM Stage1+ (or equivalent) on completely otherwise stock cars (only upgrade is the 3.0Bar MAP and the chip set) and making 280 hp (crank). I know of an AAN making 290 wheel hp (about 370 crank) running RS2 hardware and Dahlback software on stock cats, exhaust, and intercooler.

I think he was referring to the vauxhall lump

IMHO its all about reliability, on the road. As Jo quit rightly said dyno figures mean nothing, on the road performance is something else, and what about torque? I'm sure the AAN would deliver more, lower down and for longer

The recommendations are from PK-Motorsport. You need to do this to reach 290-295 hp on AAN Motor.
              280 hp is not = 295
RS2 turbo is not = original turbo

Thats from a tuner who will always state safe limits to avoid recrimination, any limits can be pushed I've seen well over 290 on homefry chips on multiple cars, the question is how long the turbo's and hardware last at those levels not whether they can be reached.

Especially with the design on the 3b / aby / aan exhaust manifold and potential EGT problems.

300hp for 3 seconds on a dyno != real life performance, where everything will instantly overheat in a longer pull.

Thats what I said, difference between reaching those levels and long term reliability
