    Catch tank question

What would you expect to see in a catch tank after 5months and approx 4000miles?

I've not used one before so not sure if what I've seen today is normal or not. I'll get some pics and post them up later. This is my set up, I have a swirl pot before the catch tank

Perhaps what I've got is normal then?

There was 200ml of water in there, looks like I'll have to start emptying and cleaning it more often. I suppose it's a good thing that it's catching all that and not recycling it back into the engine any more.

Yummy... Will be the condensation from cold weather mixing with oil vapour. Good to see there's almost no oil though

Do you leave it idleing for long in the morning?

Have you lost any coolant? I have seen engines quite creamy before but there is a lot there...

Looks normal for an every day car, lots of condensation + a little oil vapour = mayo, If you can move the tank so it sits above the EM on the hot side of the engine you'll get a lot less

maybe that is why mine is never like that!

second tank is always dry and empty, but cyclone is much more elaborate than that.
