What hta were they using on the 1.8t. Was it on a 30r turbine.

Yes. With 0.82ar full boost at 4000rpm on 3rd and possibly around 500hp, as not fully mapped yet

This thread is a bit confusing,the OP was comparing GT3076 v GTX3071.
Some of the posts are on about GTX3076, the GTX 3076 is a 640hp turbo, thus in
another league .

The GT3076 is a 525hp turbo and the GTX3071 is a 560hp turbo.

All these figure are conservative as they are in terms of continuous performance,
that is what is quoted by Garrett. Higher outputs can be had but charge temps and
reliability are adversely affected above these figures.

From the numbers its an obvious choice , GTX3071 is the one to have over the GT3076 as long as your wallet allows.

Yes, as there are other options available that's why its more confusing. It would be nice to be able to know what companies can offer such upgrades to see what is worth. Hta wants 600$ + shipping or customs for their upgrade.

Yep I'd like to know as well also remember the gtx wheels are bigger so a new compressor housing is required or the old ones enlarged

Compressor housings can easily be reprofiled if they are the right anti surge housing. I had a contact in a well known turbo company in the UK that told me he could get gtx 76 wheels at least 6 months ago. He has now left that company but they will be available to the right person. Try turbo dynamics.
